About Me
Hello! My name is Kasia.

I just graduated nursing school Summer 2018, and after passing the NCLEX, I can officially add two titles to my name: Kasia RN, BScN!
Four years ago when I graduated high school, I had no idea if I even really wanted to be a nurse, I just took a chance on it because science always interested me and I liked helping others. Good thing I quickly found my love for nursing (thankfully). I worked hard for four years in school and learned a lot.
I thought I wanted to be a paediatric nurse for the longest time, and living in Toronto, SickKids Hospital was always the goal. However, in fourth year after two shifts working on a postpartum unit for placement, I fell in love with Obstetrics. I knew I wanted to be there to support new mothers and families during such an exciting (and often frightening) time in their lives. With the new goal of becoming a nurse working in Obstetrics, I knew I had some work to do.

I started volunteering for a program called Healthy Babies Healthy Children that was an amazing experience to help support families at home in the postpartum period. After I graduated Nursing School, I went right back to school in September 2018, but to specialize in Obstetrics, so I am currently a student working on my Obstetrics certification. I took breastfeeding courses and certifications that I thought would help me stand out in interviews, and officially as of November 20th, I have been hired as a nurse in Labour & Delivery - my dream job.
This is where my journey begins and I would love it if you joined me for the ride.
